The tour includes an up close and personal look at our thriving pear and apple trees, and details the experience of growing the World’s Finest Fruit from blossom’s burst all the way to bountiful harvest. The breathtaking beauty of the Hood River Valley takes just a few moments to see, but you will remember it for a lifetime.
Tours are $5.00 per person and includes a complimentary gift bag. Children 12 and under are free. All tours include a look at our live gift packing area, admission into the “Remembering our Roots“ exhibit, and a peek at our 1940s cold storage area which is the future home of the Fruit Heritage Museum.
“Remembering Our Roots“ Fruit Heritage Exhibit
The Fruit Company respects and cherishes the history of the Hood River Valley, and is working in conjunction with local organizations to preserve its heritage and the legacy of the American Orchardist. The Fruit Foundation is a non-profit historical society that has funded and assembled this exhibit that is now on display at The Fruit Company.
“Remembering our Roots“ showcases an authentic picker’s cabin and many artifacts from Hood River Valley orchard families. The future Fruit Heritage Museum will be located in the cold storage portion of The Fruit Company's 1940s packing house and is expected to debut in its entirety in Spring 2012. This museum will feature the past, present, and future of the fruit industry here in the Hood River Valley.
